Qualified in Medicine at St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School. Clinical training in General Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology in London, Exeter & Bristol. Studied for a Doctorate in Medicine at King’s College Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital London and awarded MD by University of London in 1991 in relation to research into Diabetes. Appointed Consultant Physician in 1991. In addition to clinical duties I have a medical student teaching responsibility in Canterbury on behalf of King’s College London as a year 3 firm head.
