Mortuary Service
Cellular Pathology provides a public mortuary service to the HM coroners in east Kent together with a full autopsy and body storage service HTA licensed at Ashford and Margate. Kent and Canterbury provides a body storage facility.

Kent and Canterbury Hospital
Mortuary opening times: 12:30 - 15:00 Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only (excluding Bank Holidays)

Viewings outside these hours are not permitted. An on-call mortician is available for advice 24/7 and can be contacted via switchboard,
Please note that relatives that wish to view their loved ones; this can only be arranged to take place during the normal working hours of the mortuary service.
