There are 'drop off' zones outside key areas of the hospital. If you are taking your relative/friend to a hospital appointment you can use these areas to park for 15 minutes free of charge while you 'drop off' your friend or relative.

There are disabled bays near the main entrances of the hospital where parking for disabled badge holders is free for up to three hours. Current charges apply if parking in a standard pay and display bay.

William Harvey Hospital
The permits can be obtained from the parking hut (at the top of the main car park, opposite the main entrance). Pay and display tickets to the value of £12 need to be purchased from the pay and display machines and given to the parking attendant, along with the ward name or department you are visiting. Cash payments are not accepted. Alternatively write a cheque for the sum of £12 made payable to East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust and hand it to the attendant.
Kent and Canterbury Hospital
The permits can be obtained from the parking hut (next to the facture clinic entrance). Pay and display tickets to the value of £12 need to be purchased from the pay and display machines and given to the parking attendant along with the ward name or department you are visiting. Cash payments are not accepted. Alternatively write a cheque for the sum of £12, made payable to East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, and hand it to the attendant.
Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital
The permits can be obtained from main reception (Ramsgate Road entrance). Pay and display tickets to the value of £12 need to be purchased from the pay and display machines and given to the receptionist along with the ward name or department you are visiting. Cash payments are not accepted. Alternatively, write a cheque for the sum of £12, made payable to East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, and hand it to the receptionist.
Buckland Hospital
The permits can be obtained by writing a cheque for the sum of £12, made payable to East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, and sending it to Parking office, Ross House, Ross Way, Folkestone CT20 3UJ.

1. Parking is prohibited in the following areas and these rules also apply to holders of disabled blue badges.

on double yellow lines and hatched areas
-
in ambulance bays
-
access roads
-
on pathways and soft grassed areas and verges

fire access routes and by fire escapes

all areas not designated for parking.
2. No stopping/waiting on red lined or red hatched areas.
3. All vehicles parking in pay and display areas must display a valid parking ticket clearly in the windscreen.
4. Vehicles must park within the marked bays.
5. Parking in areas designated for “Staff” requires a valid permit. Only holders of Hot Permits may park in the Hot Parking Zones.
6. Only vehicles displaying a valid blue badge may park in the marked disabled bays. Permit also required for Staff disabled bay.
7. Motorcycles must park in designated areas not in car park bays.
8. No vehicle shall occupy a drop off bay for longer than 15 minutes.
9. Any vehicle observed parked in contravention of the above rules will make the owner/driver liable to enforcement action for which a fee will be payable.
