Clarke Ward, Kent and Canterbury Hosptial
Clarke Ward is the only urology inpatient ward in the Trust and is located at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Canterbury.
It has 36 inpatient beds with an additional six day trolleys.
The ward is managed by Sister Jackie Coates with three Junior Sisters working with her. The Matron for Clarke Ward is Paula Brogen.
The ward is currently run in two teams Red and Blue and we hope patients will be cared for where possible by the same nurses throughout their stay.
A newspaper trolley visits the ward daily each morning at approximately 11am.
Urology Suite
The Urology Suite is based at Kent and Canterbury Hospital.
It is a diagnostic outpatient department (procedures listed above). We provide doctor and consultant led clinics as well as a large rangle of nurse led clinics and procedures.
The unit is led by Wendy Muir and the unit manager is Sister Carole Davidson. Other staff include Anne Chambers, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Elaine Freer, Staff Nurse and two Health Care Assistants James and Shelia.
The urology suite waiting area has recently been expanded with all new seating.
Derry Unit
The Derry Unit is based at Royal Victoria Hospital in Folkestone. It is a diagnostic outpatient department offereing the same facilities as the Urology Suite and Kent and Canterbury.
The Unit is also led by Wendy Muir and managed by Sister Claire Birch. Other staff include Nurse Specialist Sister Casey and Staff Nurse Dodson and two Healthcare Support Nurses - Nurse Watts and Nurse Ivin.
