Welcome medical students!

3rd January 2017

A big welcome to all new 3rd and 5th Year medical students starting this week. 

You are welcome to register with Library and Knowledge Services - just fill out a registration form in the library where you are based, or if you have a library talk in one of your induction sessions you can complete one there.

Once registered you will have full access to our services including book loans, ebooks, and journals online and in print. 

You are also entitled to sign up for a separate OpenAthens account in addition to your KCL Athens account so that you can access our online resources for the duration of your time here. These include UpToDate, DynaMed, ClinicalKey and more! Just be sure to use a different email address to the one your KCL Athens account was registered with.

eLearning for Health

Here's a reminder that all OpenAthens users can access the new eLearning resources from Health Education England! All you need is an OpenAthens account for free full access.

HEE's eLearning covers subjects from audiology to anaesthesia, dentistry to dermatology, electronic fetal monitoring to end of life care, primary care to prescribing, safeguarding children to statutory and mandatory training.

All content is nationally quality-assured and available 24/7. The sessions are intended to enhance traditional learning, existing teaching methods and provide a valuable reference point.
