What we do

Library and Knowledge Services are here to support healthcare staff and students by providing the best evidence, information, and resources to support clinical decision making, research, and lifelong professional development.

With access to thousands of online journals, hundreds of ebooks, and many evidence resources, we also have healthcare libraries at each of the three acute hospital sites, covering an extensive subject range from medicine, nursing, management, education, science, and other health-related areas.

We offer article and book request services; literature searching; skills training in evidence searching, critical appraisal and statistics; computer access, free WiFi, and quiet study areas.

Wheelchair users - the libraries at Canterbury and Margate are readily accessible for wheelchair users.

Please note that the library at William Harvey Hospital is accessible via a lift at the end of the main corridor near Folkestone Ward, then continuing through the Cardiac Catheter Suite on the first floor and into the Education Centre.
