Our Clinical Librarians work closely with clinicians and their departments, attending clinical meetings, medical decision meetings, educational ward rounds, as well as department journal clubs.
- We help inform patient care by bringing knowledge and current evidence direct to the clinician, both in clinical meetings and at the bedside.
- We are happy to discuss your needs and see how using this service, including adding evidence search and critical appraisal expertise to your normal clinical activities, can enhance the delivery of your service, the academic progress of your teams, and ultimately supporting the best patient care.
Our Clinical Librarians also offer an outreach service which aims to bring an awareness of library and information services to primary care staff in their own surgeries, practices, or units.
- One of our Clinical Librarians will travel out to your place of work to give an introduction to our services, and the online resources that we offer.
- We are happy to run training sessions in effective literature searching, evidence-based practice, critical appraisal, and understanding statistics.
