Access journals with an OpenAthens account

The vast majority of the journals that we offer free access to use the OpenAthens single-sign-on service. If you don't have an account, you can register here:

Once your account is activated, you will be able to access all of our other library resources as well. 

Searching

To find out whether your OpenAthens account gives you access to a particular journal, you can search our catalogue here kss.koha-ptfs.co.uk

There are currently three main ways you can do this.


  • One of our largest journal collections is available via ClinicalKey. Here you can filter all available titles by medical specialty. 
  • We are also working on updating our custom resource which brings all journals from varying platforms together into one page, each dedicated to a healthcare specialty. You can view the Journals by Specialty page here, but please note that some links may be out of date. We are endeavouring to incrementally update these as quickly as we can. (22nd April 2021)
