Education and career history
MBBS, PgD Gerontology (King's College London), FRCP (London). After qualifying from North Bengal Medical College in Darjeeling, India, Dr Rudra continued his training in Cardiology for several years in Teaching Hospitals both in India & in the UK. After working with and gaining valuable experience from pioneering electrophysiologists and interventionists, he took up a career in Geriatrics and General Medicine as he had a variety of interests in other fields of Medicine   
as well. He completed his training as a Registrar in Geriatrics & General Internal Medicine in the London & South East Thames rotation and received his dual accredition in 2006 when he was appointed Consultant in HCOOP based in QEQM Hospital. 
 
His primary role as a Geriatrician is in the field of Orthogeriatrics, Falls & Syncope, Tilt Table Tests and Heart Failure in the Elderly. He is also very actively involved in teaching both in QEQM Hospital and Trust-wide, in addition to his role as an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacology for the University of Greenwich. He has also been appointed in the post of Honorary Senior Lecturer (Teaching) by King's College London since  February 2010. He is significantly involved in both junior doctor teaching and training as well as year 5 undergraduate teaching.

- General Geriatric Medicine clinic held in the Walmer.

- Tilt Table Tests are done in the Friends Day Hospital 
- Elderly Heart Failure clinic (4th Friday of the month) held in the the Walmer Suite A
