I trained as a nurse at the Kent&Canterbury hospital in 1968. I am now retired, but feel that I can be a useful and positive member of the council of governors. My last working post was as school Welfare Assistant/ First Aider in a large secondary school. I have in the past been a local Councillor and a primary school governor. I am currently the membership secretary of CHEK and feel that I will be able to bring a wide perspective of views to the governors. I will put forward the needs of patients and staff. I am a mother of three grown up children, a grandmother of three and a great grandmother. My husband, who is a senior maths teacher, and I are active natural history consultants.
