Council of Governors

The Board of Directors works closely with the Council of Governors. They work to understand the views of Governors, and through them, the views of our members.

Public and Staff Governors are elected to represent their constituency. They usually serve for three years. There are 13 Public Governors and three Staff Governors on Council.

Members of our Foundation Trust choose the Public and Staff members on the Council. They serve for terms of office between two and three years.

Three Partner Governors also join our Council, appointed by their organisations. They represent the six local authorities, the Kent Universities and volunteers who work with the Trust.
