New Chief Executive starts at East Kent Hospitals

Tracey Fletcher, the new Chief Executive for East Kent Hospitals, has joined the Trust today.

Tracey has been the Chief Executive at Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London since 2013. The Homerton Hospital was rated as outstanding by the Care Quality Commission last year.

Tracey, who lives in East Kent near Deal, said: “It is a real privilege to join my local Trust as its CEO. The Trust has a vital role in its community, as a provider of care and as an employer.

“I am looking forward to meeting and working with staff across the organisation as well as with governors, volunteers and partners, to deliver great healthcare for patients and a great place to work for staff.”

The Trust’s Chairman Niall Dickson, said: “Tracey is an experienced NHS leader with a great track record and a total commitment to continue our drive to improve the care we provide to the people of East Kent.

“These are challenging times with demand for our services at unprecedented levels, but under Tracey’s leadership we will do everything we can to support our staff to provide the best possible care and to work closely with all our partners in East Kent to make sure that care is joined up and focused on what patients need.”

Tracey Fletcher has taken over from Susan Acott, who announced last September that she would be leaving the Trust after serving four years as its CEO.
