Improved results in Staff Friends and Family scores

Staff are increasingly happy to recommend the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust (EKHUFT) as a place to work and receive healthcare, latest survey results have revealed.

The most recent scores from the Staff Friends and Family Test show that:

  • 5% more staff than three months ago would recommend the Trust to their friends and family as a place to work (latest 52%, previously 47%)
  • 4% more staff would recommend the Trust to their friends and families as a place to receive treatment (latest 76%, previously 72%).

This is the second consecutive increase in staff results, which is an encouraging sign towards achieving longer term improvement, said Interim Chief Executive Chris Bown.

“I am delighted that our results have improved for the second time in a row in the Staff Friends and Family Test. What’s important to us is the quality of care we give our patients and how it feels to work here, so it is pleasing to see things are changing for the better in these areas.

“However, we accept there is still much more to be done, and we are committed to continuing to improve in these areas and have made them priorities for the year ahead,” he said.
