The results show a significant improvement upon the 2015 results, with the Trust now being above the national average in nearly all measures.
Most significant areas of improvement include hospital cleaning, ward food and the condition and maintenance of buildings.
Finbarr Murray, Director of Estates and Facilities for EKHUFT, said: “We’re very pleased with the results of the PLACE assessments, which involve local people going into hospitals as part of a team,
“PLACE inspections aren’t about clinical and medical procedures – but something as equally important – the actual environment where staff work and patients are treated.
“And because the assessments are carried out by local people who use our services, we know that they share our commitment to the highest of standards.
“These environmental improvements have been delivered through the commitment of our site-based Estates and Facilities teams and working closely with our Serco colleagues around improving the provision of cleaning and food.
Our dieticians have also worked very hard with Serco on providing healthy food.”
