Volunteers celebrated at the Annual Summer Tea

70 volunteers enjoyed the annual summer tea last week, tucking into lots of cake, scones and cream.

East Kent Hospitals Chair, Nikki Cole thanked the volunteers for enhancing the quality of life for our patients, visitors, carers, and also for supporting the staff in delivery high quality health care.

The volunteer army is increasing in numbers and many are now involved in services such as meeting and greeting, assisting our staff with administration, mealtime companions, dementia visitors and navigating our patients and visitors around the hospitals.

Thank you to Serco for providing the delicious teas and welcoming the volunteers.
