Raising awareness of bladder cancer

Kent & Canterbury’s urology staff took to Canterbury High Street on Sunday 20 May, to raise  awareness of bladder cancer through ‘Bubbles for Bladder Cancer’.

Bubbles for Bladder Cancer is an initiative started by the charity, Fight Bladder Cancer.  And every May, all those affected by the disease are remembered.

About 10,000 people are diagnosed with bladder cancer every year and it's the tenth most common cancer in the UK.

The condition is more common in older adults, with most new cases diagnosed in people aged 60 and above.
