National Institute Health Research and ENRICH initiative

National Institute for Health Research and the Enabling Research in Care Homes initiative

Improving the lives of older people living in Care Homes is a major UK government priority. To help make this happen, the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) has started the Enabling Research in Care Homes (ENRICH) initiative.

The Ministerial Advisory Group on Dementia Research identified that more research was needed to improve the quality of life of people with dementia in Care Homes.

ENRICH encourages Residents and Researchers to come together to deliver research and becoming a Research Ready Care Home and being a part of the network will help make that happen.

The Research Ready Care Home Network provides a fresh opportunity for Care Homes and Researchers to work together to deliver real improvements for residents and NHS patients.

Anybody interested in joining or supporting this much needed work. Can do so by visiting the ENRICH website: http://enrich.nihr.ac.uk/
