MEDICAL CARE ON BOARD SHIPS
This training is intended for seafarers who are designated to take charge of medical care on board ship and on completion of the training, the students will have sufficient knowledge of the types of ships' medical equipment and stores and their use to be able to diagnose medical problems on board ship, provide medical care to the sick and injured while they remain on board and participate in co-ordinated schemes for medical assistance to ships.
EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK (EFAW)
This one day course is suitable for any member of staff who wishes to become a first aid provider for their area, which has been risk assessed as low to medium.
FIRST AID AT WORK (FAW)
This three day course is suitable for any member of staff who wishes to become a full and comprehensive first aid provider for their area, which has been risk assessed as medium to high. They must also be able enough to work with a ‘casualty’ on the floor.
