Prosthetic and Maxillofacial Support
The maxillofacial prosthetists provide clinical, scientific and advisory service to patients. They deliver rehabilitation by facial or body restoration, using implants, splints and prostheses. Rehabilitation is available to a wide variety of patients. Patients may present with facial differences since birth. Others may have sustained traumatic injury or invasive cancer removing procedures. The prosthetists have a dual role of clinical and technical. Managing patients whilst also manufacturing prostheses and assist with surgical planning.
Maxillofacial & Oral Surgery
The laboratory supports the maxillofacial oral surgery services by manufacturing custom-made medical devices. These devices are provided as part of treatment or recovery relating to the oral cavity
Orthodontics
Our orthodontic technicians are amongst the busiest in the NHS. They provide many complex fixed and removable appliances to treat even the most compromised cases.
Restorative
The laboratory also provides full support to our Restorative Consultants. A complete range of fixed restorations from veneers and single unit crowns, to implant retained bridges and dentures. The technical staff deliver these devices from decades of experience, expertise and the latest CAD software.
