COVID-19 Statement

Changes to our service

KM CAT continues to offer a full service to support people in Kent and Medway with their AAC.

We are following guidance from the East Kent Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to continue to help prevent the spread of Covid-19:

  • It is normal for us to carry out some of our work by video or telephone consultation. When there are elements of our work that we cannot carry out remotely, we will arrange face-to-face appointments, with your consent.
  • If we invite you to attend an appointment at the hospital then we kindly ask that you attend the appointment on your own or with only one visitor where support is needed. If you require more people / other agencies to contribute to the session then please discuss this with us first, we may be able to arrange for them to join remotely.
  • For all face-to-face appointments, we will be wearing PPE.
  • Please can we ask that you and those supporting you also wear a mask unless this is difficult for health reasons.

Our aim is for you to get the same outcomes and service, whilst we keep you and our staff safe.
