Care of the Deteriorating Patient (CODP)
This is a multi-professional simulation experience aimed at Foundation Doctors and Nurses. Care of the Deteriorating Patient is designed to enhance management and assessment skills of deteriorating patients as well as introducing non-technical and human factors skills.
Foundation Realistic On-call Simulation Training (FROST)
FROST is aimed at new Foundation Year 1 Doctors. The course is designed to help prepare the new F1s for being on-call and to give them the confidence to escalate their concerns to the correct member of staff.

What to expect
On the day the candidates will have at least one simulation based around either the deteriorating patient or the critically ill patient. The aim of the session is to not only explore clinical aspects of care but also look at Human Factors that may arise. The candidate would not be expected to act beyond the role they hold currently.
