Outpatient Physiotherapy Services

We provide a range of interventions which include treatment, education and advice. We aim to restore, maintain and improve your quality of life.

Inpatient Physiotherapy Services

We work in all inpatient areas and you'll see us on the ward or within the therapy gymnasiums.

Advance Practice Therapist  Service

Extended Scope Practitioners are highly qualified specialised therapists who work in an extended role alongside a consultant.

Hand Therapy Services

Our Hand Therapy team consists of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. We specialise in the treatment of injuries, medical conditions and surgery related to the hand.

Occupational Therapy Services

Our Occupational Therapists assist you in maximising your ability to carry out daily activities related to both work and the home environment. We work with any age group and carers to problem solve and overcome any difficulties

Day Hospital

In the Day Hospital we will assess and provide rehabilitation to enable you to achieve maximum independence and improved quality of life within your home and social environment. 

Adult Speech and Language Therapy

Our team specialises in voice, dysphagia, neurorehabilitation and acquired neurological disorders.

Paediatric Orthopaedic Service

The Paediatric Orthopaedic Service is a specialist service which provides non-surgical and surgical treatment for musculoskeletal conditions affecting children.

We have an expert multi-disciplinary team specialising in the treatment of babies and children with congenital, developmental and acquired musculoskeletal conditions.

Patient contact Service

East Kent Hospital’s University NHS Foundation Trust’s strategy to reduce the non-attendance rate for appointments, an interactive text/phone/email appointment confirmation system is being introduced. 

Open days and work experience

We offer either work experience or open days at all 3 main sites to students age 16 years and over who are considering a career in therapies.
