The East Kent Hospitals Hand Therapy Department is a team of highly dedicated therapists.
The Hand Therapy team consists of occupational therapists and physiotherapists who work closely together using generic and specialist skills.
The Hand Therapy team are made up of HPC registered therapists as well as one assistant. The senior members are all members of the British Association of Hand Therapy and regularly attend their meetings/courses.
The team is led by Advanced Practice Therapists supported by a Clinical specialist who work alongside the specialist Hand Surgeons within the trust.
The team also provide therapist input in some fracture clinics and are able to order and interpret x-rays as well as refer for some other diagnostic texts.
Our team takes great pride in their work and use a variety of specialist skills to allow people to return to optimum function with their hand, wrist and arm within their own lives.
