Occupational Therapy Services

Occupational Therapists (OTs) enable you to carry out day to day activities that you need or want to do.

OT’s and OT Assistants achieve this by assessing how you carry out these activities.

We work with all age groups and their carers to overcome any difficulties they have as a result of illness or disability.

We use purposeful activity to help support independent function.

We use problem solving skills and help individuals to remain as independent as possible.

We are involved in planning safe and timely discharge from hospital and work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team, such as:

  • Physiotherapists
  • Nurses
  • Care Managers
  • Speech and Language Therapists
  • Discharge coordinators
  • Doctors
  • Dieticians
