Clarke Ward

Clarke Ward is the dedicated urology inpatient ward in the Trust and is located at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Canterbury.

Clarke Ward is equipped with 36 beds including 6 side rooms for patients requiring isolation or barrier nursing during their stay. Additionally, there is a 6 bedded trolley bay where patients could be admitted and then transferred to the main ward after their operation.

When you arrive on the ward you will be greeted by the ward clerk, who will concierge you. The nursing and healthcare assistant team will introduce themselves to you.

Ward Rounds

When you are admitted to the ward, one of the urology consultants will take responsibility for your medical care and co-ordinate the team looking after you. A member of the team will see you every day while you are in hospital, except at the weekend, when one of the other urological teams may be responsible for your care. If you would like to speak to the nurse in charge or the matron during your stay, please ask the nurses caring for you to organise this.
