Foot wound care: discharge advice
Kent Ward
This information is for patients who have ischaemic/necrotic (black) areas or wounds of their toes and feet. While you have been an inpatient, the nurses have been keeping the damaged area of your foot clean and dry and have been spraying with iodine powder. However, now that you have been discharged, you will need to help care for your wound yourself. This leaflet outlines our advice to you on discharge from hospital.
