Parking

Please note that the post-covid parking arrangements for staff (i.e. free parking) ends on 31 December 2022 and a payable permit is required from 1 January 2023. This will also apply to those who reside in onsite Trust accommodation as parking is not provided as part of your Tenancy agreement nor is it inclusive of rent payments made to the Trust.

Please be aware that the Trust operates a ticketing enforcement system and if vehicles are parked on-site without a valid permit or scratchcard then the driver will be issued with a £35 fixed Parking Charge Notice (PCN).

Permits and Scratchards

EKHUFT Staff who are already Peak Permit Holders

Deductions will be taken by salary from January 2023 onwards at a flat rate of £10 per month, and you should refer to recent Trust Staff news articles for further information.

Non-Permit Holders

If you are an EKHUFT employee who does not have a permit and have instead been set up on the parking whitelist during the pandemic, or if you are not an EKHUFT employee i.e. you are agency, locum, student, etc., then you will need to organise a temporary paper permit before 01 January 2023.

As a further concession, the Trust have reduced the normal cost of parking during Jan/Feb/Mar for non-permit holders to £5 per week or £1 per day for those who only park occasionally.

Weekly Permits and Daily Scratchcards

Weekly permits or daily scratchcards can only be bought in person from the parking offices on-site. These are open Mon-Fri (exc bank holidays) and are usually staffed between 8am and 3pm. To avoid repeat visits, it is recommended that tenants purchase enough parking in one visit to see them through to 31 March or when their tenancy ends.

Parking from 01 April 2023

A new digital permit system is due to be rolled out by the Trust ready for 01 April. Full instructions and a link to the new online portal will be communicated nearer the time, including changes to the cost of parking once the discount period ends in March.

Should you have any questions or wish to contact the Parking Team directly, you can do so by email: ekh-tr.travelsmart@nhs.net
