Parking

The Trust have recently announced some changes to parking arrangements for staff i.e. that a permit is required from 1 June (although parking remains free of charge for NHS staff till September).

If you have a car on-site and do NOT already have a valid EKHUFT staff parking permit, you will need to:

  1. If you are due to depart BEFORE 30 Sep 2021, email ekh-tr.travelsmart@nhs.net with your vehicle reg and departure date.  The parking team will add your vehicle to its digital database so that it is approved when your number plate is scanned.
  2. If you are due to stay BEYOND 30 Sep 2021, you will first need to set up an account on the permit system (https://permits.paysmarti.co.uk/acct/eastkenthospitals).  Then email ekh-tr.travelsmart@nhs.net, explain you are a resident in accommodation, confirm your vehicle reg and departure date and request a permit.  Give them the name and email address under which you set up your account.  The parking team will then set up a permit for you and confirm back by email.  Please note, if parking charges are reintroduced after September you will have to contact the parking team again to organise payment, either from your salary if employed by EKHUFT or by card if employed by an agency or other organisation.
