Two funding opportunities are currently available from the ARC KSS:
1 - The SpringBoard Awards – aimed at health or social care professionals (including social work and public health.
The funding should allow a six-month programme of research skills development which includes one of the following activities:
-Up to £1000 to develop a research idea and the skills you need to take your idea forward
-Up to £5000 to develop skills and a research idea with the aim of applying for research programmes regionally or through national fellowship schemes (e.g. pre-doctoral awards, ICA internship etc.).
-Up to £5000 to undertake an evidence synthesis of literature to support the development of a research project or application for funding or further research training or build skills in evidence synthesis with the intention of informing your local service delivery.
Closing date: 10 September 2021 at 5pm.
2 - Investment in future research leaders Award
All projects must be designed to support your future development as an individual researcher through any of the following:
- Pilot or test the feasibility of a research idea.
- Research idea development through: to collection of evidence to support a future research study or funding application to support the co-production and co-design of a research idea
Awards of up to £20,000 (inclusive of 25% co-funding from your organisation) will be made for projects of a maximum of 12 months in duration
