You need to download the Interpreters Live! App to your smartphone or tablet. It is free to use.

InterpretersLive! is available 7 days a week between 8am-8pm. 

For appointments at the hospital if you need an interpreter there with you, please let the service know at least two weeks before your appointment.

We can book an interpreter for BSL, SSE or a Lip-Speaker or Speech to Text Reporting.

For patients and carers with hearing loss

For patients with hearing loss, we can provide a hearing loop, we can ask staff to let you know when it’s your turn when you are waiting to see the doctor / nurse or therapist (rather than just calling out your name).

Deaf Health charity, Sign Health, provide a large collection of health videos in British Sign Language. It covers topics from cancer and depression, to types of abuse and how to perform first aid.

RNID offer a free digital communication card. This can be personalised and printed off or downloaded onto your smartphone.
