Parking at William Harvey Hospital

Find the nearest car park to a clinic

William Harvey Hospital offers pay-on-foot and pay & display parking. Drivers enter the site off the mini-roundabout, and should then follow road-side directional signage to the car parks.

For details of parking charges, please see our main Parking Page

Main visitor car park (pay-on-foot): 265 bays. Take the second left and enter through barriers. Pay at one of the pay stations located outside the main entrance before returning to your vehicles.  Please note - at busy times, traffic marshals may redirect you to an adjacent Pay & Display car park which is used when the main car park is full.  There, payment can be made by coin, contactless or RingGo.

Channel Day car park (pay & display): Take the first left and follow the road all the way through the hospital past Estates towards Stores, in order to reach the Channel Day P&D car park at the rear of the site. Payment can be made by coin, contactless or RingGo.

Designated disabled bays can be found outside of all the main hospital entrance points:

  • 52 opposite the hospital entrance – to access these, drive past the main visitor car park and head towards the main entrance. There can be queues at busy times but traffic marshals will be on hand to help.
  • 6 outside Channel Day
  • 6 outside the staff residence blocks (zone 16)

Patient drop-off bays are located directly outside the hospital entrances. These are intended for drop-off and pick-up only and we would ask you not to wait or park there as space is limited.

Staff parking areas are reserved for staff permit holders only – please be careful not to park in one of these as you may be liable to a parking ticket. Please also be mindful of areas signed for restricted use as standard P&D tickets will not be valid in those areas.

Weekly permits

Weekly permits can be obtained via the pay stations. Simply press the 'others' button on the pay station display screen and the weekly ticket option will appear. Keep the ticket safe as on subsequent visits, you will need to insert it at the entry barrier to gain access, and again at the exit barrier when you leave.
