Welcome to Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapy
The Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service at East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust (EKHUFT) covers three acute hospital sites, the William Harvey hospital in Ashford, the Kent and Canterbury hospital in Canterbury and the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother hospital in Margate.
Our team of Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) assess, diagnose and treat inpatients with a range of communication and swallowing disorders. We also refer these patients to the appropriate outpatient service on discharge for continuity of care.
