Hospitals at East Kent Hospitals Trust

As one of the largest acute Trusts in the country, we have five sites across east Kent, caring for a population of around 720,000 people.

The Trust has more than 1,000 beds, and provides a range of core and specialist healthcare services. We receive more than 200,000 emergency attendances, around 100,000 inpatient spells and 750,000 outpatient attendances per year. 

The William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, provides a range of emergency and elective services as well as maternity, trauma, orthopaedic, paediatric and neonatal intensive care services. The hospital has a specialist cardiology unit, a state of the art pathology lab and a robotic pharmacy facility.

At The Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate we provide a range of emergency and elective surgeries and comprehensive trauma, orthopaedic, obstetrics, general surgery and paediatric services. It has a specialist centre for gynaecological cancer and modern operating theatres, ITU facilities, a Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and Cancer Unit. 

The Kent & Canterbury Hospital, based in Canterbury, provides a range of surgical and medical survives. It is a central base for many specialist services in the area including renal, vascular, international radiology, urology, dermatology, neurology and haemophilia services. It also provides a 24/7 minor injuries unit. 

The Royal Victoria Hospital is in Folkestone and includes a range of local services including a minor injuries unit, a thriving outpatients department and diagnostic services. 

Buckland Hospital, in Dover, provides a range of local outpatient services. Its facilities include a minor injuries unit, renal satellite services, day hospital services, child health and child development services and diagnostic facilities.
