Freezing weather didn’t deter people from attending a coffee morning organised by our research teams.

Staff and members of the public braved the snow on Wednesday to attend the event in the education centre at K&C.

Hot drinks were on offer to warm them up and the team were on hand to discuss research opportunities and highlight some of the studies taking place across the Trust.

Lead research nurse Ruth Hulbert said: “When I saw the weather that morning I was worried no one would turn up but we had a good flow of people throughout the morning.

“One woman travelled for two hours on the bus and really enjoyed chatting to the team.

“It was our first face-to-face event for our research friends since the start of the pandemic and it was lovely to have everyone in the same room sharing their enthusiasm for research.”
