Education, Research and Innovation

At East Kent Urology, we pride ourselves on our dedication to providing outstanding education, innovation and research.

The Urology Department has a State of the Art Education, Research & Innovation Centre. The centre houses a Conferencing & Telepresence platform equipped with the latest technology for optimal knowledge acquisition & dissemination for university students, surgical trainees, clinical staff & patient engagement.

The Mini-Conference & Telepresence room boasts the first direct link to the daVinci Robotic Console Surgeon’s Interface for Livelink and has been nominated by The Royal College of Surgeons of England for the Innovation in Health Education Award.

The room is acoustically & ergonomically designed for optimal comfort. Expansion facilities exist for Livelink into a second room.

The room is open for patient forums and public engagement.
