Annette joined the Trust on 1 May 2025.
Professional background
Annette trained as a chemist at Imperial College London.
Annette has 35 years of experience working within the international pharmaceutical sector.
Previously, Annette has worked for Warner-Lambert, Pfizer and GSK. At GSK she was Senior Vice President, Global Head of Product Development and Clinical Supply.
Annette has been directly involved in the research, development and launch of over 30 new medicines. These medicines treat respiratory, infectious diseases, cancer, and inflammatory conditions.
Chair of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, appointed in May 2024.
Currently President of the Royal Society of Chemistry. This is a charity focussing on education, research and policy to advance chemical sciences.
Annette is also a trustee at St John Ambulance and a Member of the Tonbridge Grammar School Academy Trust. She is a Council Member of Innovate UK, which is a part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
In 2009, she was awarded an OBE in recognition of her services to the pharmaceutical sector.
