Use the the following external resources to get advice and support for your wellbeing.

Urgent help

If you are in need of urgent mental health help, you can call 111 and select mental health.

In cases of emergency call 999.

You can also call Samaritans on 116123.

Children's wellbeing resources

  • Kent Children and Young People's Mental Health Services
    Services for young people in Kent aged 0 to 18. Helps with a range of mental health difficulties.

  • Kent School Health Team
    Services to support 4 to 19 year olds, including those not in school. Can help with a range of issues physical and emotional health issues young people face.

  • Chat Health (from Kent School Health Team)
    Chat Health is a free, confidential text-based service for 11 to 19 year olds to speak to a member of the Kent School Health team about any physical or emotional health concerns,

  • Barnardos
    Barnardos offers help for both young people and parents/carers on many different problems.

  • Special educational needs and disabilities
    SEND supports young people with special educational needs and their families, with resources for specific age groups.

  • Mind and Body
    Mind and Body is a free programme for young people at risk of self-harm. Guidance for parents is also available.

  • Kooth
    A free online platform for 10 to 18 year olds for wellbeing support and counselling.

  • Childline
    Childline is a free, confidential counselling service for under 19 year olds.

  • Kent Resilience Hub
    Helps young people, parents and carers understand emotional wellbeing by giving young people the support they need. Moodspark can be accessed through the website which is a site for 10-16 years old that provides advice for navigating hard emotions.

  • Release the pressure
    Provides advice from a highly trained team on a broad range of problems.

  • Shout
    Shout is a 24/7 text service that is free, confidential and is available to help everyone.

  • Salus
    Salus provides a variety of services to support children, young people, families and schools.

  • Digibete
    Digibete is an app to help young people and families manage type 1 diabetes, with videos and resources to help you feel supported with diabetes.
