Facilities at Kent and Canterbury Hospital

Restaurant

The 'Food You Love' restaurant is on the ground floor of the old part of the hospital. Opening hours are:

• Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5pm

• Saturday and Sunday, 8.30am to 4pm

• Bank holidays, 8am to 4pm.

Chapel

The chapel is on the second floor of the old part of the hospital. It is open 24 hours a day. Main reception or ward staff can contact a chaplain for you. Find out more about our Chaplaincy Services.

Costa Cart

A cart selling tea, coffee and pastries is available Monday to Friday from 7.30 am to 5pm in the Outpatients department.

Shops

The League of Friends shops sell hot and cold drinks, sweets and snacks, newspapers, cards, basic toiletries, etc. The shops are situated:

• In the main 1937 entrance:

  • Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 7pm

  • Saturday 8am to 4pm

  • Sunday closed

• In Outpatients: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4pm

• In the Fracture Clinic: Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.

Telephones

Public telephones and freephones for taxis are available at the main entrances of the hospital.

Facilities for inpatients

Volunteers take newspaper and trolley shops around the wards and run a ward library service.
