Blood tests and lung functions tests at new Thanet Health Hub diagnostic centre

Blood tests and lung function services are now underway at the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC), part of the new Thanet Community Health Hub in Broadstairs.

The multi-million-pound hub is led by the East Kent Health and Care Partnership and brings together a range of NHS services under one roof, making it easier for people to get the care they need without long waits or travel. The CDC is run by the Trust as a spoke to the current Buckland Hospital CDC in Dover. Respiratory sleep clinics and ECHO services are also running from the site.

Cara Barlow, EKHUFT’s Community Diagnostic Hub lead, said: “Thank you to the fabulous phlebotomy team and lung function team for their hard work in bringing another CDC service into action; by doing so they are also contributing to a community service that means people in Thanet can get tests and checks completed faster and closer to home.”
