What we do

Our motor neuron disease service supports people with a confirmed diagnosis of motor neurone disease (MND).

MND is a condition that affects the brain and nerves. It causes weakness that gets progressively worse over time. The symptoms and disease progression are unique to each individual and can sometimes be difficult to manage.

Our team work with consultants in respiratory and neurology to provide you with the best care. We also work with community services and volunteers from the MND Association.

You will be assigned a Specialist Nurse who will be your main point of contact.

Our specialist nurses support people with MND, their families and carers by coordinating care. We try to reduce the disruption to your life as much as possible, from diagnosis through to managing the disease.
